Special Issue Policy

The Malaysian Journal of Science and Advanced Technology (MJSAT) is committed to maintaining the highest editorial standards for all its publications, including special issues curated by guest editors. To ensure the integrity and quality of content in special issues, MJSAT adheres to the following criteria:

1. Editorial Oversight

  • The Editor-in-Chief retains full responsibility for the content of the entire journal, including all special issues, ensuring that they align with the journal's scope and objectives.

2. Editorial Standards

  • Articles in special issues are subject to the same rigorous editorial oversight and external peer review processes as regular submissions.
  • Special issue articles will be clearly labeled to distinguish them from regular issues.

3. Guest Editor Credentials

  • The journal ensures that the credentials and expertise of guest editors are thoroughly checked and approved before their appointment.

4. Oversight of Guest Editors

  • The Editor-in-Chief or dedicated members of the editorial board will oversee the work of guest editors to ensure compliance with the journal’s editorial policies.

5. Conflict of Interest Management

  • Papers submitted to a special issue by guest editor(s) must undergo an independent review process to ensure impartiality.
  • Submissions from guest editor(s) may comprise no more than 25% of the total articles in the special issue.

These guidelines are designed to uphold the quality, transparency, and integrity of special issues, ensuring they meet the same high standards as all MJSAT publications.
